Focus of Week Ten
The strategy of international business. The sourcing of goods and services is one method business employs. Buying raw materials at discount prices from foreign sources helps reduce costs. Outsourcing labor to a low cost labor market may reduce costs. Similarly, growth and expansion takes advantage of economies of scale savings and efficiencies to reduce costs. Finally, strategic alliances can increase growth and reduce costs.
