Linking to Articles, eBooks, and Streaming Videos from the Library's Databases: Oxford Reference

Oxford Reference Linking

The following instructions are for creating links.

   1. Search for the desired resource and open the full record of the item (note that this only works for an actual reference title, not for an entry within a reference title). Locate the Print ISBN-13 thirteen digit number under the item's Bibliographic Information.

   2. Make a note of or select and copy the ISBN number.

   3. Insert the complete thirteen-digit ISBN number into the following URL twice, replacing each set of blue x's.

https://ezproxy.bellevue.edu/login?url=https://www.oxfordreference.com/view/10.1093/acref/xxxxxxxxxxxxx.001.0001/acref-xxxxxxxxxxxxx

    4. An example of an Oxford Reference URL would look like this: https://ezproxy.bellevue.edu/login?url=https://www.oxfordreference.com/view/10.1093/acref/9780199568758.001.0001/acref-9780199568758.

   5. Once created, the student will be able to click on the link and be immediately taken to the item, whether an article, video, or database. They will not need to log-in again in order to access the Library webpage or other resources.
