Linking to Articles, eBooks, and Streaming Videos from the Library's Databases: Gartner

Gartner Linking

The following instructions are for creating shareable permalinks in Gartner.

   1. Access the Gartner database via the BruinConnect chiclet or the Library's A-Z Databases page and locate the article.

   2. After opening the article, do not simply copy the URL from the browser’s address bar as this is session specific and the article cannot be retraced once the session ends.

   2. Select the ‘Share’ tool on the left side of the screen. (See image).

   3. Select the "Share" option. This will display the DeepLink URL, a permalink URL that you can copy. No proxy information is required. An example of an Gartner article URL would look like this: https://ssofed.gartner.com/sp/startSSO.ping?PartnerIdpId=http://www.okta.com/exkjtpbr2BHTMlNUU4x6&TargetResource=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.gartner.com%2Fdocument%2F6121659%3Fref%3Dd-linkShare

   4. Once created, the student will be able to click on the link and be immediately taken to the item. They should not need to log-in again in order to access the Library webpage or other resources.
