U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs’ (OSEP’s) IDEA website. This site was created to provide a "one-stop shop" for resources related to IDEA and its implementing regulations, released on August 3, 2006. It is a "living" website and will change and grow as resources and information become available. When fully implemented, the site will provide searchable versions of IDEA and the regulations, access to cross-referenced content from other laws (e.g., the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB), the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), etc.), video clips on selected topics…

The National Association of Special Education Teachers (NASET) is a national professional association that seeks to meet a critical need for many of America's special education teachers. NASET was established as a professional organization for former, current, and future special education NASET develops and promotes professional excellence through the support of teachers who provide services to children with special needs.

From the "Understood" website above. An Individualized Education Program (IEP) serves as a roadmap to help you support many of your students who learn and think differently.

Defines special education and the 13 categories of special education as defines by IDEA. Explains IDEA and IEP law, as well as other information about special education.

Provides resources, including videos, on learning and attention issues, types of learning disabilities and how to recognize them, as well as information about Individual Learning Programs (IEP). Mostly geared toward parents but supported by 15 non-profit organizations. See next three links.
