Academic Assessment Committee: Terms

Terms (IRM)

The Program Map serves as a framework for program development and is used throughout the lifecycle of a program for program assessment purposes. The Program Director, with the collaboration of program faculty, drafts the program map. The program map depicts where program outcomes are assessed (i.e., when, how, and to what level).

For each course in a program, the map indicates:

  •      Direct and indirect measure(s) of program learning
  •      Level of instruction - introduced, reinforced, mastered, and assessed
  •       Program outcome(s)
  •       Formative and summative assessment points
