Academic Assessment Committee: Terms

Terms (IRM)

The Program Map serves as a framework for program development and is used throughout the lifecycle of a program for program assessment purposes. The Program Director, with the collaboration of program faculty, drafts the program map. It depicts where program outcomes are assessed (i.e., when, how, and to what level). The map includes the elements listed below; see the definitions worksheet in the Excel mapping document for more information.

  •       Program student learning outcomes (PSLOs)
  •       Direct and indirect measures of program learning
  •       Levels of instruction - introduced (I), reinforced (R), and mastered (M)

Also note definitions available, under terms, including for formative and summative assessment.
