Cluster C Personality Disorders

Cluster C personality disorders are characterized by anxious/fearful thinking and behaviors. This includes obsessive-compulsive personality disorder, dependent personality disorder, and avoidant personality disorder. It is important to note that obsessive-compulsive personality disorder is not the same as obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). For more information on OCD, see Anxiety, OCD, and Trauma Disorders.

Avoidant personality disorder
(MedlinePlus) Avoidant personality disorder is a mental condition in which a person has a lifelong pattern of feeling very: Shy; Inadequate; and Sensitive to rejection.
Avoidant personality disorder
(Cleveland Clinic) Avoidant personality disorder is marked by poor self-esteem and an intense fear of rejection. People with the condition often avoid social situations to avoid these feelings. Avoidant personality disorder is treatable with psychotherapy (talk therapy). Medication may help as well.

They may have trouble making simple decisions. The condition is treatable with psychotherapy (talk therapy). Medication may help as well.

Obsessive compulsive personality disorder (OCPD)
(OCD-UK) Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCPD) and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) sound the same, and are often confused and mistakenly interchanged as being the same illness, but not withstanding similar names, they are in fact two separate conditions. Whilst OCD is considered an anxiety disorder, OCPD, as the name suggests, is actually a personality disorder. It’s also possible to suffer from both OCD and OCPD simultaneously.
