Walt Disney Company and Its Competitors

The Walt Disney Company, originally known as Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio, was founded on October 16, 1923 by brothers Walt and Roy Disney. Eventually, it grew to be the world's largest independent media conglomerate in terms of revenue, and a leader in the animation industry, as well as one of the largest and best-known studios in American cinema. The resources below, related to Walt Disney Company history, are available in a variety of formats.
