Clinical Mental Health Counseling: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

This section contains resources on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), defined by the APA Dictionary of Psychology as "a form of cognitive behavioral therapy based on the premise that ineffective verbal strategies to control one's thoughts and feelings actually lead to problem behaviors." Though ACT may be considered a cognitive-behavioral, or in some cases holistic therapy approach, in this guide it is given its own section.

The resources on the right are arranged by type: eBooks, journal articles, videos, and websites.
