An effective presenter needs to be flexible, energetic and enthusiastic. This guide will help you turn your written presentation into an imaginative public performance.

Survey after survey reports that oral communication skills are considered even more
important than writing and math skills, as well as a number of other job-related qualities,
such as initiative, technical competence, and organizational abilities.

After you have prepared your speaking outline and visual aids, you will need to practice your speech. Prepare your speech several times. Initially, use your practice outline. Once you are confident that you know your material, switch to your speaking outline. Always practice in the speaking voice you plan to use during your presentation rather than reading through your speech silently. Review your performance after practicing.

Methods of delivery include speaking in conversational tones and using organizational systems. Note cards, outlining, and mind mapping are helpful for successful speech delivery.
