Gale Business Insights:Global provides detailed company and industry profiles including SWOT reports, market share reports, and financial reports, as well as thousands of company histories case studies, scholarly journals, and company news.
It can be accessed from the Databases page under Find on the library homepage. You will be prompted for your BU Connect login.
Company Profiles. Click the blue box that says "Browse All Companies." This will take you to a page where you can search for companies by name and/or limit your results by company type, location, revenue, etc. If you are looking for a specific company profile, type the name of the company into the search box and click the magnifying glass to search for it. Select the correct option from the results below. This will bring up the Company Profile, which includes information on the company's history, financial performance, SWOT Analysis, investment reports, and more.
Industry Profiles. You can also search for profiles for industries. Click on the tab that says Industries, and then search by industry name or NAICS code. Click on the appropriate result to view the Industry Profile, which will have information on annual revenue, top companies, industry reports, and more.
You can create comparison charts or tables by clicking on the icon that says Compare. Use the options on the left side of this page to create your comparison. You can compare companies, industries, or countries/territories. To compare companies, enter in the names of the companies you want to compare (up to 3) and select the metrics you would like to include. The chart or table should appear on the right side of the page.
To find case studies on certain companies, click on the Advanced Search option. In the search bars that come up, type the name of the company into the bar beneath Terms, and select Company Name from the dropdown menu under Field. Then, scroll down to the options for Search Limiters and select Case Studies. Click "Search," and you will get a list of case studies for that company.
