ESL and International Students: Listening

Listening

Listening skills are necessary for academic, professional, and personal communication.    Native speakers often speak quickly, use common slang/idioms, and use regional pronunciation.  There is no substitute for listening practice, but technology makes it easy to find examples of all kinds.

The resources on the right are arranged by type: general collection books, eBooks, articles, library videos, internet videos, and websites. They all relate to English listening in some way, though they may contain other skills as well.
