The Omaha Public Library Administrative Services Building has a Genealogy & Local History Room with many unique, Nebraska-related genealogical resources. They are a Family Search affiliate, provide Ancestry Library access, and are open to the public.

Some of the available resources include:

  • historical birth, death & marriage records (for Douglas and several other counties)
  • cemetery records
  • funeral pamphlets
  • maps & gazetteers
  • historical area newspapers
  • city directories
  • collections of area restaurant menus & cookbooks
