Surgery

Surgery is the medical specialization which uses operative manual and instrumental techniques to investigate or treat a pathological condition. These procedures are meant to improve the function or appearance of a patient's body. A typical surgical team is comprised of a surgeon, surgeon's assistant, anesthetist, nurse, and surgical technologist.
