Choosing a Graduate School

When choosing graduate schools to apply to, it can be tempting to put little thought into this crucial step.  Many applicants attempt one of two extreme strategies: 1) Blitz as many graduate school applications as possible in the hopes of becoming accepted with little concentrated effort or 2) Decide to apply to only one 'acceptable' graduate school, usually due to name recognition.  It is important to find a middle ground when choosing which schools to invest time and often money to apply to.  The resources in this section can give you a good idea of how to get started.
