I will be graduating soon. Where can I go for help in finding a job?

Career Coaching Center provides assistance with all apsects of your job search, including resume preparation, cover letters, job search strategies-and even practice interviews.  We also offer a variety of recruiting programs, events and activities.  Check our website under News & Events for upcoming events and activities.

Does Bellevue University offer assistance in preparing resumes and/or cover letters?

Where can I find full or part-time job listings to help me in my job search?

Career Coaching receives job listings of all different types from a  wide variety of employers on a daily basis.  These are posted on our online job posting system called JobZone.  To access JobZone, you will need to complete a very short registration process.  Contact the Career Coaching for more information and directions for registering.

Does Career Coaching post jobs online?

JobZone is our online job and internship posting system that provides students and alumni with access to up-to-date local and national job and internship listings.  You will need to complete a very short registration process before you can access JobZone.  Contact us for registration instructions.  You will also find links to a variety of commonly used job search sites on our website.

Does Career Coaching sponsor Career Fairs or other events to help me connect with employers?

Yes.  We sponsor a career fair each year, usually in mid-March, where we typically have 50-60 employers from a wide variety of industries and career fields available to visit with you about their organizations, career and internship opportunities, etc.  We also sponsor a smaller Career Information Day each fall, usually in late-October.  This event usually includes 25-30 employers, giving you the opportunity to visit on a casual basis with company representatives, explore career opportunities and learn more about their organizations.  In addition, we sponsor other activities throughout the year to help  you connect with employers.  Check our website under News & Events for upcoming events and activities.

I need help in preparing for job interviews. Who can I talk to?

Career Coaching Center can help.  We provide coaching on interviewing strategies, commonly asked questions and more.  Call or email for more information or to schedule an appointment.  You can also complete practice inteviews using InterviewStream, a web-based system.  All you need is an internet connection and a webcam.  To access InterviewStream, login in to new BRUIN, click on Career Resources, then on InterviewStream. If you live in this area, you can also use InterviewStream by scheduling an appointment in Career Coaching.

Should I be using any of the social media sites in my job search?

Yes.  LinkedIn is a professional career networking site used by employers, job-seekers and those who are employed and interested in networking with others in their field.  To join, go to  Facebook and Twitter are two other social media sites used by both employers and job seekers. 

I am a Bellevue University student looking for an on-campus job. Can Career Coaching help me?

On campus jobs are handled by the University's Human Resources Department.  To apply for on-campus jobs, email or apply online via  Career Coaching can help with resumes and cover letters if needed.
