The Copyright & New Media Law Newsletter

"The Copyright & New Media Law Newsletter"

As you know, the Bellevue University Library’s Copyright Center offers a wealth of copyright-related information, and now there is another source that provides wonderful copyright insight... The Copyright & New Media Law Newsletter.  The Library recently began subscribing to this quarterly publication in the Spring of 2010.  The Copyright & New Media Law Newsletter is “devoted to explaining copyright law, compliance, management, and licensing issues in plain English to a diverse audience,” according to  Editor, Lesley Ellen Harris, who is a lawyer, author, and educator, started up (which is a blog about copyright, licensing, and digital property), just after the first newsletter edition was published in Spring 1997.

Among the regular contents available within this newsletter are:  an “Editorial” feature, “Reviews” of print and digital materials, and a “Questions & Answers” section.  In addition, there is information available through” News Briefs” on court cases and the copyright law, as well as situational copyright scenarios.  Much of this information is often incorporated into the Copyright Center to share with you; however, if you are interested in reading the entire newsletter, the Library subscribes to the print edition and it is located in the periodical section.

As a value-added service to faculty, we can make a copy for you and route it through intercampus distribution.   For more information, please visit: or contact us at the Copyright Center at
