We had a very successful National LIbrary Week, April 13-19, providing free refreshments to students all week and giving them the opportunity to have their own READ poster made among other activities.
Congratulations to our National Library Week contest winnners: Tim Karstrom won the $75 Amazon Gift Card for his entry in the Creative Expression Contest, describing what the BU Library means to him. Lesley Laboy won our Count the Change contest by guessing the correct amount of gold coins in the jar (65) and remembering to include how the library changed her life
Also, in honor of National Library Week, the library is once again accepting Food for Fines throughout the entire month of April. Bring in one non-perishable food item for each overdue book or video. All food collected will be donated to the Bellevue Food Pantry.. Of course, you can still participate even if you don't have a fine to pay.
If you are interested in genealogy, you won't wan to miss our next workshop “Getting Started on Your Genealogy” on Tuesday, April 29, from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. in Library Classroom #460. Contact the library to reserve your space, 402-557-7313 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Have you see our new digital sign yet? It is prominently located near the self check-out machine. It will keep you informed of all library news and events.
Forgot your phone charger? No worries. The library now has a charging station right next to the self-checkout machine and under the digital sign for your Android and iPhone smartphones and tablets.
Our new Scan Station has been set up and is ready for use. It is located in the Periodicals area of the library next to the copy machine and replaces the old scanners at the computer pods. It is fast and easy to use and a great improvement over the old scanners.
