Linking to Articles, eBooks, and Streaming Videos from the Library's Databases: Kanopy

Kanopy Linking Outside of Blackboard

The following instructions are for creating links outside of Blackboard.

1. Search for an item, open the full record for the item, then highlight and copy the URL that appears in the browser's address bar and paste it into the desired location.

2. An example of a Kanopy URL would look like this: https://bellevue.kanopystreaming.com/video/great-beauty-0.

3. Once created, the student will be able to click on the link and be immediately taken to the item, whether an article, video, or database. They will not need to log-in again in order to access the Library webpage or other resources.

The following instructions are for linking in Blackboard only

1. Search for an item, open the full record for the item, then highlight and copy the URL that appears in the browser's address bar.

2. Paste the URL you copied into the desired location.

3. You will need to insert  http://ezproxy.bellevue.edu:80/login?auth=bb&url= immediately in front of the URL.

4. An example of a JSTOR URL would look like this: http://ezproxy.bellevue.edu:80/login?auth=bb&url=https://bellevue.kanopystreaming.com/video/great-beauty-0

5. Once created, the student will be able to click on the link and be immediately taken to the item, whether an article, video, or database. They will not need to log-in again in order to access the Library webpage or other resources.
