Welcome to the new Copyright Center!
This new Copyright Center was designed to provide an easy-to-navigate system for locating copyright information and was created using the software, LibGuides, by Springshare. LibGuides is traditionally used for subject guides; however, Bellevue University also uses it as our Departmental Request page used to indicate what materials have been ordered for each college and area. Therefore, with this interface familiarity, the library staff thought it may be more user-friendly for patrons, which was one of the reasons for the change. Also, Springshare software makes it simple to add, edit, and delete information, which will ensure quality and up-to-date resources.
When navigating through the site, the yellow tabs across the top will guide you to the various resources: Copyright Flowchart, Copyright Policy, HEOA Compliance, Library Resources, Websites, FAQ’s, Features, Tutorials, and Faculty Resources. The Library Resources tab includes the most current copyright books and electronic books found within the library. The Faculty Resources tab provides faculty members links to commonly-used library resources such as: Departmental Request page, Digital Archives, ERes, Films On Demand, Interlibrary Loan, Library Research Tutorials, NBC Archives on Demand, Noodlebib, SMART (Scientific and Medical ART database) and Turnitin. Also, there are some Quick Links, located on the left-hand side of the page. In the box located in the center of the page is where information will appear after clicking on a tab. Finally, Contact Information is located on the right-hand side.
Have fun exploring the newest Copyright Center! We hope you approve of the change and find locating information easier. Feel free to contact us should you have any questions or comments. As always, we thank you for supporting the Bellevue University Library.
